He Is There

Many times in my walk with God I have gotten frustrated and lost. Frustrated because I cant always feel His presence. I have learned that in this race we will have high and low spiritual moments. Just like life has it’s mountains and valleys. The key is to not let those low moments keep us stuck in those valleys. It’s making your mind up that even though you may not feel his presence it doesn’t mean He’s not there.

As a human being we tend to base a lot of our decisions off of emotions and that is a problem! Emotions come and go, we are complicated beings with countless variables. We have to stand on truth to help us overcome. The truth is Gods word! It is able to stand up against any test and will never fail you or be swayed by emotion.

I’m writing this to let you know your not the only one that asks where is God because you can’t feel Him. We’re asking the wrong question it’s not where is God, it’s what can you and I do to be more aware of His presence. See God is not a God who leaves His people in times of need. No, God shows up 100% of time and on every occasion. Awareness is the answer to this riddle. The next time you can’t feel Him and you start to get frustrated just stop, pray, and quiet your spirit.

Meditate on this scripture and look at what Jacob does in a time where he could not feel God’s presence.

Genesis 28:15-16 Then God was right before him, saying “I am God, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. I’m giving the ground on which you are sleeping to you and to your descendants. Your descendants will be as the dust of the Earth; they’ll stretch from west to east and from north to south. All the families of the Earth will bless themselves in you and your descendants. Yes. I’ll stay with you, I’ll protect you wherever you go, and I’ll bring you back to this very ground. I’ll stick with you until I’ve done everything I promised you. ” Jacob woke up from his sleep. He said, “God is in this place-truly. And I didn’t even know it!”…

What Is Your Missing Piece?

Through the years I have met many people. People from different walks of life, ages, and direction. Working with others for a living, mentoring and guiding them through life’s many obstacles you start to notice similarities. We are all searching for purpose. For the mast majority, their purpose is to make millions of dollars and be rich. Being rich has a facade that if you have money you are happy. That is why most want to achieve that as their purpose. Some chose the purpose of a brilliant career filled with a series of moves to get them at a certain status. With the countless possibilities of what your purpose is there is a common denominator. The missing piece!

What’s the missing piece? Whether you are in the process of chasing your purpose or you have successfully conquered it I always ask this question:

Is there something more? Do you feel like there is still something missing from your life?

In almost every case the answer is yes! I would like to provide a solution to that missing piece. His name is Jesus! We were all created in the image of God and deep within us is a longing to be near to Him. We often try to fulfill those yearnings in our spirit with material possessions, achievements, and conquered dreams but without Jesus, it’s never going to be enough. He is the hope within our souls that tells us we are made for much more than just this life. His love covers all our mistakes, faults, and failures so that we can live free from shame. His comfort holds us close when the pain of this life becomes too much to bear. See Jesus is that missing piece that brings completion to our life and truly gives us the purpose we were meant for!

Job 42:1-6 “I’m convinced: You can do anything and everything. Nothing and no one can upset your plans. You asked, ‘Who is this muddying the waters, ignorantly confusing the issue, second/guessing my purpose?’ I admit it. I was the one. I babbled on about things far beyond me, made small talk about wonders way over my head. You told me, ‘Listen and let me do the talking. Let me ask the questions. You give the answers.’ I admit I once lived by rumors of you; now I have it all firsthand-from my own eyes and ears! I’m sorry-forgive me. I’ll never do that again, I promise! I’ll never again live on crusts of hearsay, crumbs of rumor.”

I challenge you today to open up to God and let him into your heart. Let him give you the answers you’re looking for, the missing piece of your life!
